HATHA YOGA

Hatha Yoga lessons explore permanence, strength, and flexibility in each posture, emphasizing alignment and breathing awareness, in a soft flow. Beyond physical postures, this practice includes meditation, pranayamas (breathing exercises) and relaxation, making it ideal for all ages.

VINYASA YOGA

Vinyasa Yoga lessons motivate moviment fluidity through breathing, increasing flexibility, resistance, and vitality in a conscious way, balancing mind and body. It is a dynamic and vigorous practice.

YIN YOGA

Yin Yoga lessons induce introspection and stimulate the deep part of the muscles, the connective tissues, through long permanence in each posture. It is a meditative practice with intense stretches, that promotes self-awareness and physical, emotional, and energetic well-being.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Restorative Yoga lessons lead the body towards rest and physical, mental, and emotional relaxation through permanence in the postures with the use of accessories (pillows, blankets, blocks, chairs, sandbags, belts). The accessories are used to increase comfort and the sensation of safety. Among its multiple benefits are decreased tension, sleep, and humour improvement, stress reduction, and disease prevention through the strengthening of the immune system.

MODALITIES
OF YOGA OFFERED

AYURVEDA AND TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE SESSIONS

Treatments are carried out after a consultation and prior assessment, as part of an individualized therapeutic process.

 

ABHYANGA

Body massage made with treated plant oils, to promote the nutrition of tissues, channels, and body articulations, to reestablish life energy, prevent early aging, and produce body relaxation.

 

EXTERNAL BASTI

Procedure in which warm oils medicated with herbs are applied, to lubricate and nourish a specific part of the body. Relieves pain in the knees and in the lumbar and cervical regions, cramps, eye problems and multiple emotional issues.

 

AYURVEDIC YOGA MASSAGE

The Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (AYM) method was developed by Indian master Kusum Modak, from the combination of the maneuvers and deep touches of traditional Indian massage with the stretches and therapeutic postures based on Iyengar Yoga.

The slides, kneadings, and pressures with hands and feet stimulate blood circulation and warm the muscles and articulations, preparing the body for push-ups, twists, and stretches based on yoga postures.

The individual AYM session lasts for about 1h15. Plant and essential oils are used, as well as calamus powder that acts as an exfoliator and stimulator of the skin and blood circulation and intensifies the toxin release process. 

This technique progressively brings more flexibility, mobility and vitality to the body, balancing it on the physical, emotional, and energetic levels.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Yoga na Maré also offers other activities, like big-group lessons, yoga and meditation retreats, workshops, movie club, and conversation circles.
